Thursday Morning Dump

- THIS! This right here is the reason that youtube was invented. Bobby Knight is going to be the subject of a roast on September 18th back in Indiana. To the good people of the Hoosier state, I beg of you, get this on film and online.

- Kenpom put together the ten most improbable wins of the season (6-10 here, 1-5 here). Take a look at No. 6. Gotta love SWAC basketball.

- Sad news on Dean Smith -- his health, most specifically his memory, is beginning to fail him.

- As if Karen Sypher didn't already seem crazy enough. A decade ago, she had consensual sex with the owner of an auto glass business and was eventually hired by that man. When he broke it off more than a year later and fired her, she claimed to be pregnant and sued him for sexual harassment. Prosecutors say this is a lie, and if it is, it doesn't exactly look good for her credibility.

- Jeff Goodman calls for a return of the April recruiting period. Can't say that I disagree.

- Who would have thought that Texas could open a pipeline from Canada?

- Doug Gottlieb (Insider required, sorry) breaks down his top 30 NBA prospects for next season.

- An interesting look at college players participating in the summer leagues and Pro-Ams.

- Kevin O'Neill is not exactly loved in Tennessee. He ran out on the school after they wouldn't clear a player that the NCAA had cleared back in 1997. As the head coach of USC, he makes his return to Knoxville this year -- remember USC's 22 point beatdown of Tennessee last year? Anyway, O'Neill says he is going to bring Lane Kiffin with him to deflect the heat away from himself. That would be hilarious if he did.

- Mike DeCourcy spoke with Kemba Walker, who had some interesting things to say about the past season.

- Charges in the Kansas ticket scandal.

- A little more information on the secondary violations that occurred at Harvard.

- A policy in the ACC regarding recruits who sign with one university cost the conference two talented freshmen-to-be, and the big names aren't too happy about it.

- Ann Killion expects the Pac-10 to be down again next season.
