But for a schtick-heavy talking-head to scold opposing fans is just lame and unnecessary. I know this might sound terrible, but I'd almost prefer Jimmy Dykes over Digger at this point....

Howard battled back form a foot injury he sustained in the preseason, and returned right before Christmas. He played in 14 games, so he won't be able to redshirt. Gotta feel for the kid.

- This, like the Stoglin tweet, is a non-event . The quote that is, not Parrish's article. His words are pretty solid

- Thanks to Michigan State's win at Ohio State over the weekend, the Big-Ten race is as muddled as ever

- You know what, I'm totally with the NCAA on this one. Gotta start dropping the hammer on major violators

- ESPN is once again trying to create their own statistical rating system. They had the QBR for quarterback ratings, and now have unleashed the BPI, which is their version of the RPI

Monday Morning Dump

By the time you read this, we will be somewhere between Springfield, IL and Columbia, MO. We left Milwaukee, WI at 5:00AM and have to be at Mizzou Arena by 5:00PM for a Big XII showdown between Missouri and Texas A&M.

Instead of providing a dump of various links from the college hoops world, we are going to fill you in on all of our travels thus far.

If you really want to get a pulse of the college hoops world, I suggest read The Dagger's Breakfast Buffet or CBS Eye on CBball's Wake-up Call. They both do good work. Not as good as we do, but solid nonetheless.

SITE NEWS: On Friday, we will be volunteering our time and effort to Habitat for Humanity in Joplin, MO. As you should be well aware, devastating tornadoes ravished the city of Joplin, and we are going to chip in whatever way we can as we stop through from Springfield, MO, to Tulsa, OK.

We will be in the state of Missouri all week -- we're covering the Missouri-Texas A&M game on Monday and the Creighton-Missouri State game on Wednesday -- so from now until Friday morning, we will donate $1 for every new Twitter follower we get at @ballinisahabit. Monday Morning Dump

The #BIAHroadTrip had a busy first weekend. On Friday night we saw Lipscomb upset Belmont in "The Battle of the Boulevard" game. Friday Morning Dump

As most of you are well aware, we are on the road for the next 22 days, covering 13 different games and traveling over 6,000 miles of great American country-side. I will do my best to continue to provide an adequate dose of morning dumpage. Happy 2012. The #BIAHRoadTrip is just three days away. We will provide more details on the entire trip in the coming days. Today's dump is rather light because a) planning and preparing for a 20-day road trip takes up a lot of time and b) I still haven't recovered from New Years
