Tuesday Morning Dump

- Conspiracy Theory alert: IMG is the mastermind behind expansionocalypse (This is a must-read)

- The Wooden Award top-50 list was released yesterday. Two players from the Atlantic-10 were listed. Four Tar Heels were nominated. Two Memphis Tigers are on the list. Andy Katz got some comments from various coaches on each of the 50 nominees. katz also takes a look at some of the names that aren't on the list now, but could be there at the end of the season

- A man involved in the shooting of Arizona guard Kevin Parrom has been charged with attempted murder

- The addition of Syracuse and Pittsburgh to the ACC is going to hurt Boston College

- Rhode Island made a slight alteration to their non-conference schedule, will play season-opener at George Mason

- Curtis Sumpter was suppose to be a superstar at Villanova, but knee injuries hampered his career. Brian Ewart of VUHoops details how Sumpter is trying to get his game back

- UNC-Wilmington center Matt Wilson has not participated in team drills yet due to "minor medical issues"

- Don't look now, but the financial situation at Maryland is getting even worse

- Former-Greyhound standout Omari Israel has been named the new Director of Basketball Operations at Loyola (I played against Israel freshman year in high school. Sophomore year he was starting on varsity and I was looking for a new winter sport)
