Wednesday Morning Dump

I apologize if the Dumps seem kinda light this week. The summer is my second season, and yesterday was day one. But luckily, the flow of hoops news is starting to feel the summer heat.

- If you read one thing today. Make damn-sure it is this: Measuring the effectiveness of student sections in the Big-Ten (This may be one of the greatest analytical column ideas I've ever seen. +100 for Halcyon Hoops)

- DeAndre Daniels is said to be making his college decision this weekend.

- More Penn State coaching search updates: The school hopes to name a new head coach very soon. ASU assistant coach Scott Pera has entered the running. Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins however, has not. Larry Brown wanted the job, but Penn State didn't want Larry Brown. What about Harvard's Tommy Amaker? He's not on the list of candidates, but he'd surely be a perfect fit, right?

- Missouri and Missouri Southern are trying to schedule a game in Joplin. Obviously this needs to happen. ASAP

- Eamonn Brennan asks the age-old question: Does the age limit work for the NBA?

- Fran Fraschilla believes Iowa State could make moves next year, and it doesn't include leaving the conference (Insiders Only. A head's up to some of you less informed readers - If you have a subscription to ESPN: The Mag, you can become an insider for free)

- Terrence Jones wants to spend his summer focusing on academics (Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What the hell did he just say?)

- Jared Sullinger had a quick reaction to the resignation of tOSU football coach Jim "The Vest" Tressel

- Louisville is no longer pursuing the talents of  Dayton-transfer/former Penn State commit Juwan State

- Three ex-Tar Heels find the SoCal life "livin' easy"

- Ex-Gonzaga guard Demetri Goodson has decided to pursue a collegiate football career at Baylor

- A Sea Of Blue is having a hard time understanding what caused John Calipari's twitter handle to tweet what it did

- Billy Donovan wants the SEC tournament to be seeded based on RPI

- Former Louisville player Hajj Turner has been named the associate head coach at George Washington

- Rush The Court takes a look back at the uniforms used by the Maryland Terrapins of the late-90s

- The Big Ten Network will now be referred to as "BTN"

At this point, should we really be doubting Josh Harrellson?
