Thursday Morning Dump

- Luke Winn drops some statistical knowledge on the NBA draft and it's draftees (Just in case you aren't aware that Luke Winn's stuff is always must-read, consider this your reminder)

- The Morris twins are starting to gain a reputation for having rather large egos. As Jeff Eisenberg explains, the set of twins do not seem to have any confidence issues

- According to DeAndre Daniels, who just recently announced his decision to attend UConn, Jim Calhoun will be the head coach of the Huskies next season (But after all Daniels has put us through, If he says Calhoun is going to coach next year, a) we won't get the real answer until mid-December, and b) Calhoun will become the new conductor of the UConn band)

- Thomas Emma, a captain of the 1982 Duke Blue Devils team, died yesterday of an apparent suicide attempt. Police said the 49-year old Emma jumped to his death from the top of the New York Athletic Club early Wednesday morning

- We should have touched on this earlier in the week, but, well, sometimes it's best just to ignore everything Bob Knight says anymore

- Your must-read story of the day details the long, rugged journey taken by Anthony Hubbard. The Iowa-bound JuCo transfer spent three years in prison following robbery charges, and it was during tat three year jail sentance that Hubbard matured into the man he is today

- Matt Jones, the head czar of Kentucky Sports Radio, is leaving his post as CBS college basketball blogger

- The West Coast Conference, with new member BYU in tow, has reached a deal with ESPN to extend their TV contract for another eight years

- According to reports, San Diego junior forward Ken Rancifer turned down bribe offerings from former-Torero Brandon Johnsons

- Former Arizona point guard Lamont "MoMo" Jones announced last month he would be leaving Arizona to find school closer to home. After initial reports that he may end up at St. John's, Jones now appears to be headed to Iona. With the top four scorers returning, Iona could be the team to watch in the New York metro area

- Bruce Pearl may not be employed by Tennessee, but that doesn't mean he's not challenging the NCAA violations brought down on the program

- Rick Pitino's son Richard is not being considered as a candidate for the Boston head coach opening

- Villanova By The Numbers provides a list of the top-15 returning Big-5 players in terms of highest value add rating

- A look at the potential draft picks made by the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers have a lot of good young talent (See Griffin, Blake), but they need to keep stockpiling. Unfortunately, they don't have any first round picks, and as we all know, this draft class is especially weak. They will more than likely be drafting the best available players

- The NBA Draft Blog takes a look at the team needs of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The T-Wolves have the No. 2 and No. 20 overall picks and will welcome former first round pick Ricky Rubio to the squad in 2011-2012

- Another edition of "Who's number one, Williams or Irving?"
