Friday Morning Dump

- Conference re-structuring is the topic of the day throughout the college hoops world. The SEC is scrapping their two divisions and may end up extending the conference schedule to 18 or 22 games. Jeff Eisenberg explains why this is a bad idea. But Andy Katz is just glad that the conference tournament will no longer be seeded by divisional rankings. But does the non-division format really help the profiles of SEC teams?

- The Big XII has also restructured it's conference tournament, because, well, they don't have 12 teams any more. Essentially, the six top teams in the conference will all get byes in the opening round

- Duquesne head coach Ron Everhart is staying put and will not pursue the Penn State job. Speaking of which, Boston head coach Tom Chambers may or may not be named new Penn State head coach very soon. Chambers spent two seasons as the head coach of the Boston Terriers, and before that was an assistant coach at Hofstra under Jay Wright

- Ryan Fagan drops the name of four guys who will definitely be much better next season

- In the most recent edition of Andy Katz's Daily word, he wonders if last season's disappointments (I'm looking at you Baylor and Michigan State) can turn it around this season

- Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, VCU, Northwestern and LSU will participate in the 2011 Charleston Classic (Note the absence of schools from the Carolinas. Last season the Charleston Classic feature six schools from North or South Carolina. Next season, there will be no representatives from the Carolinas.)

- The once-popular Great Alaska Shootout is on it's last legs. The early season tournament has had to revise it's opening round bracket for 2011

- It was officially announced that West Virginia reserve forward Dalton Pepper is transferring to Temple

- Mike Krzyzewski is still unsure as to how he will replace Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler. Speaking of Coach K, he believes that the ACC should stick to a 16-game conference schedule

- Jim Calhoun is still mulling his decision on whether or not he wants to continue coaching at UConn

- Former NBA assistant coach Mike Wells will join Paul Hewitt's staff at George Mason

- Lon Kruger, the new head coach at Oklahoma, is more than ready to get the program back on the right path

- NBA Draft Net answers the 14-most pressing draft questions

- Is Derrick Williams the future of the NBA?

- Which lottery picks could end up becomming "NBA glue-guys"?

- Justin Young previews the CP3 recruiting camp

- Some college hoops head coaching WAGS connect via social networking (Still not sure why this is pertinent information, but ehh, whatever)
