- Former-Louisville Cardinal Troy Jackson (Known as Escalade on the "And-1 Mixtape Tour") died in his sleep on Saturday night in Los Angeles. He was 35 years old.

- The ACC with NCAA tournament hopes all have the same objective: win games and improve resume

- Speaking of Maryland, if they want to snag a tournament bid, they are going to have to ride the coattails of their young talent

- It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win, and that's what UNC got this weekend, beating Boston College 48-46. For the Tar Heels, they must have a short-memory and move on to the next win

- There were a handful of controversial calls this weekend. One of them was the game-winning block made by Arizona's Derrick Williams. Was it a clean block or was it goaltending?

- San Diego State recorded their school-record 27th win of the season against Air Force 70-58. The Aztecs have cleared-out all the roadblocks and are now ready to face BYU in a rematch

- Utah State all-but-clinched an at-large bid to the Big Dance with their win at St. Mary's on Saturday night, 75-65 in the marquee game of ESPN BracketBusters. Speaking of Utah State, The Mikan Drill provides a cool video breakdown of the Aggies’s set alley-oop play

- The development and evolution of Gonzaga's Marquis Carter will be a key factor in how successful the team will be in the future

- Kansas State has announced that their basketball team will participate in the 2011 Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii instead of the 2011 Cancun Governor's Cup

- Brady Morningstar was on-fire in the Jayhawks 89-63 rout of Colorado. Apparently he was channeling his inner-Mario Chalmers. Speaking of Chalmers, according to Mike Miller, the 2008 National Championship hero, told the Kansas squad that they need to work on their defense

- Rick Barnes has always been criticized for his ability to win when it counts, and his team's loss at Nebraska on Saturday highlights this.

- Doc Sadler was very much on the hot-seat at Nebraska, especially with AD Tom Osbourne giving the program a "vote of confidence". But after the 'Huskers knocked-off No. 3 Texas, that seat may have cooled off. Speaking of Sadler, Yahoo's Jason King put together a solid Q&A with the 'Husker head coach

This was hardly a routine-weekend in the Big-12. Take a look at the winners and losers from another bizzaro weekend of college hoops

- You do not want to play Wisconsin after they have lost a game. The Badgers won their 20th straight game following a loss, as they defeated Penn State 76-66

- A look at the productive of senior-laden teams in the Big-Ten Conference

- Morehead State's Kenny Faried grabbed 12 rebounds on Saturday against Indiana State and surpassed Tim Duncan to become the NCAA all-time leading in rebounding

- St. Joseph's has lost two players. Guard Patrick Swilling did not play last week against Xavier because of an unspecified violation of the school's code of conduct and now it is reported that he is no longer at the university. Center Todd O'Brian is suspended indefinitely for failing to comply with the university's community standards

- You are probably aware that George Mason currently holds the country's longest winning-streak with 13 straight wins. But the Princeton Tigers are not far behind as they logged their tenth-in-a-row on Friday night

- Unless Delaware wins the CAA tournament, they won't be making the NCAA tournament, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't read about the improvements they are making

- Bucknell defeated Colgate 77-69 to clinch the Patriot League regular season Championship. The Bison clinched a home-court advantage through the entire league tournament since all the tournament games are played at the higher-seed. Speaking of the Patriot League, American clinched the two-seed but the Eagles know they have a lot of work to do

- Due to dominant performance from butler, UIC senior Robo Kreps had a very forgettable senior day

- An interesting-read on how Cleveland's Norris Cole is an example of the inability of Dayton coach Brian Gregory to develop players
