Tuesday Morning Dump

- It looks like Devoe Joseph's career with Minnesota is coming to a close. Casey Harriman's at Creighton as well.

- Xavier wanted to get 2010 over with in the worst way. Injuries, ineligibility, more injuries and some ugly losses plagued the Musketeers early season. But 2011 brings a fresh start for the A-10 elitests

- Matt Jones compares Oregon State to Chris Rock and even references CB-4 (Now that's one-helluva-reference)

- Joe Lunardi (aka Joey Brackets) releases his first true Bracketology lesson of the season. Eamonn Brennan reacts to said lesson

- Memphis head coach Josh Pastner is one of the most clean-cut, baby-faced coaches in the country. But he was assessed a technical foul in his team's 91-86 win over Tennessee State. But don't worry, he didnt drop any f-bombs or anything

- Speaking of Brennan, he addresses Baylor's drop from the top-25 in this week's Poll Thoughts. Not to be outdone, Gary Parrish provides another entertaining Poll Attacks

- Speaking of the tournament, Andy Glockner provides this week's Bubble Watch

- Adam Zagoria reviews the Big East weekly awards. DePaul's Cleveland Melvin (B.I.A.H All-Name Teamer) received Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week

- Mike Miller provides a weekends worth of quotes (always a must-read). But it looks like Miller isn't the only one compiling notable quotables

- Gary Parrish takes a look back at the weekend that was

- Dick Vitale reflects on the early college hoops season

- I'm not sure how I missed this, but Dana O'neil recapped the the early hoops season in concise-timeline fashion

- A solid-read comes courtesy of Basketball Prospectus' Drew Cannon (no relation to Nick, or at least not that I know of). He, like a most of us, believes Duke isn't that invincible

- A Q&A with Gus Johnson. No headline necessary. Must-read. Now.

- Jeff Goodman breaks down the remaining unbeatens (We did too, but, well, Goodman is a bit more famous than I am. At least for now...). Goodman also goes after the NCAA for their mishandling of the Lance Goulbourne suspension

- A look at the ten best games of the week

- I am starting to love Rush The Court's "Love/Hate" column (Seriously, I'm a natural-born-hater. The post is perfect for me)

- Kansas State's Jacob Pullen was suspended three games for taking improper benefits. Somehow he compares this to Michael Vick's suspension for running an interstate dog-fighting ring

- Iowa State's Jordan Railey has been suspended following a car accident early Saturday morning that may have involved alcohol

- Kansas' Elijah Johnson threw down a nifty off-the-backboard dunk in the Jayhawkss win over Miami (OH). Was it "dunk of the year" quality? (Personally, I don't even think it was the best dunk of the game)

- Morehead State's Kenneth Faried won the OVC Player of the Week award for the 11th time, tying the record set by the one-and-only Lester Hudson (The greatest scorer in OVC history/current-Washington Wizard)

- A solid Q&A session with St. Peter's Nick Leon

- An interesting-read about the five toughest conferences to bet on

- Now that it's January and conference games are starting, i think it's a proper time to start discussing the bubble. Take a look at some of the bubble games of the week

- Rush The Court checks in on the Colonial Athletic Conference, the Southeastern Conference, and the Missouri Valley Conference

- The ACC is way-down this year, but don't forget about Clemson. First year coach Brad Brownell has the Tigers sneaking under the conference radar

- Oral Roberts junior Dominique Morrison will miss 2-3 weeks with a lateral meniscus tear. Morrison is the teams leading scorer, averaging 18.4ppg, which was good enough for second in the Summit Leaguer

- The Syracuse blog, Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician, reacts to some backhanded praise given to the Orange

- Marquette is one of the most entertaining teams to watch. But is it their porous defense that allows opponents to make every game a close one?

- Arizona lost to Oregon State last night, which in most circles, would be considered a terrible loss. But should 'Zona fans panic?

- Butler lost their first Horizon League game in 22 tries against a Big-Lumber-less UW-Milwaukee squad

- It seems like just weeks ago that I was writing off Gonzaga as a top-25 team/tournament team, but now, the Zags are rolling. They enter conference play having won six in a row

- New Mexico State's basketball team posted it's best combined-GPA in more than ten years

- Indiana is struggling. So is their star player Maurice Creek. Head coach Tom Crean says his struggles are part mental and part physical

- Jason King breaks down the ACC and Georgia Tech's continuing struggles. King also put together a solid Q&A with Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey (I despise, detest and loathe Notre Dame, but have nothing but glowing compliments of Brey. He's a fantastic coach. I would love to play for a guy like him)

- What.The.Hell.Is.This?
