- This is investigative reporting to it's finest. Jeff Eisenberg get's the back stories for some of the best names in the country (Consider it an addendum to our B.I.A.H All-Name Team. I mean, I can't imagine he didn't use our selections as a skeleton for this piece)
- Luke Winn on Selby. For the Winn?
- A good-read on Northwestern's baby-faced assassin John Shurna
- Informative reporting here from Andy Katz on the growing trend of foreign players leaving their teams mid-season for a pro contract overseas.
- Still no timetable on the return of Kyrie Irving.
- Seven-foot-one German center Enosch Wolf has become eligible to play for UConn starting on Monday when the Huskies host Coppin State
- We've been mum on the Pitino-to-Puerto-Rico talk (although, I must say, this comment on twitter won the day: "Pitino is trying to be Coach Que". Gold. Pure gold), but Jeff Eisenberg brings up an interesting point -- could this help recruiting?
- Its been a while since New York City has had a relevant basketball program. It was supposed to be St. John's this season, but losses to St. Bonaventure and Fordham have cast doubt on the Johnnies. How bad have things gotten in New York? That St. John's team is so much better than any other city school.
- Matt Norlander does a fantastic job breaking down Conference-USA. He pontificates the depth of the conference, and debates the if it's a mid-major or not
- Jeff Borzello gives his nightly awards as his first assignment for Fox Sports (I'm surprised he did not give his inaugural Stud of the Night award to himself. Or to his hair. Or to "The Situation" from Jersey Shore)
- Jelan Kendrick back to Memphis? I doubt it, but who knows with everything that program is dealing with right now.
- My blogger in arms Mike Miller looked like a genius with this post. Me? Like a moron.
- By now we have all seen the video of the high school referee getting suplexed by a disgruntled player. Well, now the player, Mason Holland, who is/was the captain of the DeSoto High School team, is facing a felony battery charges.
- It seems like just yesterday we were all ready to pencil in Minnesota as the sexy pick to make the Final Four. What has gone wrong for the Gophers since their Puerto Rico vacation? In other Minnesota news, it looks like they will be getting Al Nolen back by the end of the month.
- Dear Big-Ten officials, you guys suck at your jobs. Sincerely the Chicago Sun-Times (and myself)
- A cool behind-the-scenes look at the Northern Iowa basketball program
It's not a good idea to try and run through Tennessee' Brian Williams
