Thursday's Pregame Beat: Stupid snow

The Pregame Beat is going to be short and sweet today. Not just because there isn't much of anything on the boob tube tonight. This afternoon, I fell in the snow. I didn't just slip, I went all the way down. Obviously, I hopped right back up and kept it moving. That's just what you do when you actually fall while walking. Get back on your feet, get to stepping, and hope that the two guys that saw the whole thing and were laughing their asses off at you don't know who you are.

It gets worse.

You see, when I fell, my keys fell out of my pocket and into the snow. But since I was in such a rush to get the hell away from that damned slippery spot, I checked to make sure I had my phone and wallet (yes and yes) and didn't realize my keys were gone until I got back to the door of my apartment.

Which is a good 30 minutes from where I fell.

Yay me!

As far as hoops tonight, keep an eye on the Oral Roberts-Missouri game. Michael Dixon is out and freshman Phil Pressey will likely start. Beyond that, expect one of Missouri or Memphis to lose tonight. Because apparently this week, ranked teams get upset every night.

Notable Games:

  • 8:00 pm: Oral Roberts @ No. 12 Missouri
  • 8:00 pm: Austin Peay @ No. 19 Memphis
  • 7:00 pm: Youngstown State @ NC State
  • 9:30 pm: Northern Arizona @ Arizona
  • 8:00 pm: American @ Northwestern
