Thursday Morning Dump

- Jonathon Givony of Draft Express breaks down the top 25 NBA prospects in college basketball. 11 freshman made the list, including the entire top five.

- Agree 100% with this column from Parrish. Louisville wasn't as good as they played on Tuesday night, and Butler wasn't as bad either.

- Impressive break down of the Duke Blue Devils from a tempo-free perspective.

- The New York Times posted a Q&A with George Dohrmann yesterday. He wrote the book on Demetrius Walker.

- Former Arizona head coach Lute Olsen rips the NCAA.

- Robbie Hummel had a different procedure on his knee this time around.

- John Gasaway weighs in on the new head coaches in the Big East.

- Jeff Goodman thinks Ohio State might be better off without Evan Turner. I agree with one qualification -- they are better this season than they were last season. They would be better still if Evan Turner was on this teams roster.

- Great line from this writeup of Steve Lavin's first win as the St. John's head coach:

"I told Coach Keady I don't usually drink Maker's Mark," Lavin said. "But I said I think I'm ready to have a Maker's Mark with him tonight."
- Kemba Walker set a Hartford Civic Center XL Center record with 42 points in UConn's win over Vermont.

- Love these: Jimmer Fredette, Jacob Pullen, and Corey Fisher.

- I'll take shameless self-promotion for $400, Alex.

- Three Kent State players have been charged with disorderly conduct stemming from a parking lot fight at an off-campus apartment back in September. The Golden Flashes were predicted to be favorites to win the Mid-American Conference

- Ohio State had a good week. They landed a commitment from Amir Williams.

- Nebraska reserve guard Kamyron Brown has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Doc Sadler.

- After missing the home-opener versus Tulane due to illness, Georgetown's Julian Vaughn has been cleared to play today against Coastal Carolina in the first round of the Charleston Classic.

- Rush The Court recaps the 24-hour Marathon Madness. We did the same, but we always approve of RTC, with the notable exception of John Stevens. We don't support him. In any way.

- A video analysis of why freshman phenom Jared Sullinger is lacking legitimate low-post moves?

Great stache. (via CHJ)
