Monday Morning Dump

- Jim Boeheim is now fifth overall in the record books for all-time wins, notching his 831st this past weekend

- - In case you missed anything/everything from opening weekend, Chris Dobbertean from Blogging the Brackets has you covered

- Wondering why the Duke student section wore Viking helmets during the Blue Devils game against Princeton? They were honoring a fallen member of the Cameron Crazies. Speaking of Duke-Princeton, the Devils looked terrific pushing the ball.

- Kansas State's Curtis Kelly, a preseason Big-12 first-teamer, did not dress for the season-opener and will not dress for the Wildcats next game either. Kelly, who averaged 11.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg last season, was supposed to be a starter this season, but Frank Martin has apparently had issues with his work ethic and attitude. That's a big break for Virginia Tech, as the Wally Judge and Freddy Asprilla had 2 points and 5 boards in Kelly's place.

- Seth Davis always has an entertaining mailbag

- Snap judgements from Maryland's first three games aka the Jordan Williams Showcase

- Washington freshman Desomnd Simmons will use his medical redshirt after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Georgetown freshman Moses Ayegba will miss nine games after being suspended.

- Q-and-A with Siena's Ryan Rossiter.

- Should we just start calling Ramone Moore "x-factor"?

- A solid examination of the NCAA's decision to deem Enes Kanter ineligible.

- Ahh the lost art of graphing statistics.

- Hofstra's Mo Cassara got a four-year deal.

- In other irrelevant NAIA basketball news, some college named after a chick wins by 83 points.

- Jay Bilas with his breakout candidates.

- UConn assistant Kevin Ollie suffered a scary eye injury.

- The Patriot League did not have a strong showing in week-1. Speaking of "not strong", this is the single ugliest box score I have ever seen. Not even a robot could make that write up intriguing.

- Creighton's first season under Greg McDermott will consist of many baby steps

- I know no one cares about Iowa because they suck, but anytime I can get a line in about the SDSU Jackrabbits (That's South Dakota State), I go for it.
