Wednesday Morning Dump

- The WAC fired a shot back at Fresno State and Nevada yesterday, filing a lawsuit to force the two schools to stay in the WAC through the 2011-2012 season. WAC by-laws state that schools must inform the conference they are leaving by July 1st, or else they must stay through the next two school years. Fresno State and Nevada announced their intentions on July 18th. The WAC seems confident that they will be able to secure at least two, and possibly as many as six, schools to commit to joining the league, but if they cannot fill their 2011 football schedule, it could affect contractual agreements the WAC has with bowls and ESPN.

- A good read from SI's Ann Killion on the recruiting efforts of Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins. The former-Dukie is in his third year at the helm of the Cardinal and must replace Landry Fields, the team's leader in pretty much every statistic.

- Jason King of Yahoo! put together a fine piece on how Scott Drew has been able to become a major player in the world of recruiting. He's landing talent, he's involved with seemingly every big-time recruit, and he's doing it at a school that just six years ago was not allowed to play a non-conference schedule do to the actions of then-head coach Dave Bliss. Impressive, to say the least.

- The Final Four is set for the greatest faux-tournament since Mascot Madness: Rush The Court's Big Four State Tournament.

- Obviously, we aren't the only ones with an opinion on Eric Bledsoe. If you want more, take a look at what Dana O'Neil, Pete Thamel, John Gasaway, Matt Jones, and John Clay have to say. Rush The Court put together a nice piece looking a strict liability as well.

- Ex-Binghamton player Miladin Kovacevic has agreed to a plea deal that would send him to jail in Serbia for 27 months for the brutal beating of a Binghamton student at a bar in 2008.

- More analysis from the guys at Harvard regarding late game clock management.

- Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury spoke about Dee Bost and Renardo Sidney.

- Long Beach State head coach Don Monson got his contract extended.

- Glenn Robinson III, the son of Purdue legend Glenn "The Big Dog" Robinson, is heading to Michigan.
