Monday Morning Dump

- Today's must-read comes from Seth Davis, who profiled the Hurley brothers at Wagner.

- Must-read part-two: Dana O'Neil on Gene Keady joining Steve Lavin's team.

- Gary Parrish has an interesting take on the Bruce Pearl situation. Parrish says that Pearl's biggest mistake wasn't necessarily lying, it was lying about something that wouldn't have cost him his job. We tend to agree. If the punishment for lying about the violation isn't as bad as the punishment for the violation itself, then covering it up makes sense. In this case, Pearl's punishment for lying will be much worse. Its not worth it. His Five for Friday column addresses some of the questions stemming from that column.

- An update on Ed O'Bannon's case against the NCAA. It seems like things are going fairly well.

- If Sean Miller continues to recruit like he has been, Arizona will not be down for long. Over the weekend, Miller snagged a commitment from Josiah Turner, the No. 2 point guard in the class of 2011. He joins Findlay Prep teammate Nick Johnson and 6'9" Sidiki Johnson in Miller's 2011 class. Turner wasn't the only player to commit this weekend. Sam Thompson popped for Ohio State. Adam Zagoria has an extensive list of the kids that announced their college intentions.

- Tyshawn Taylor, who was asked to get off facebook by Kansas head coach Bill Self as a result of some of the messages he posted when the Jayhawk football and basketball teams got into fights last year, has been allowed to return to facebook.

- Things are looking good for Coach K, who is back from Turkey after winning the gold in the World Basketball Championships.

- Clarifying the waiver process for transfers.

- Sticking with Sean Miller, the AZ Star had this column on Miller's rebuilding role with the Wildcats. And this was before Turner's commitment.

- The Pitt Panthers are predicting a Final Four run. They won't be the only ones to make that prediction this year.

- BYU is traveling to upstate New York to play Vermont, and it looks like the arena is going to be packed.

- Tom Izzo said that the choice to pass on the Cleveland Cavs was the toughest decision of his life.

- Kentucky and Louisville are both involved with the late Melvin Turpin's son.

- The locations for ESPN U's coverage of Midnight Madness have been announced.

Bob Knight was roasted last night:
