FreeEnes t-shirts?

Big Blue Nation is the most passionate fan base in the country.

Don't believe me? Take a look at how many Kentucky-specific websites and blogs that get loads of traffic. Hell, Matt Jones was able to turn Kentucky Sports Radio into one of iTunes top selling podcasts, a radio show, and a TV show.

That passion is part of the reason that seemingly every time Kentucky-related news breaks, the memorabilia starts pouring out. Whether it is UK2K, Rick Pitino, or any of Kentucky's vaunted recruiting classes, the t-shirts come pouring out because fans buy them. And they buy them in bulk. When there is money to be made, people will do what they can to get a piece of it.

Which is why when DeMarcus Cousins tweeted out FreeEnes, it was only going to be a matter of time before some budding entrepreneur started capitalizing on it. Its not just the shirts, and there are a lot of them. There are mugs, there are bags.

The whole thing is fairly ironic. I'll let Jeff Eisenberg explain:

Of course, the great irony of the "Free Enes" campaign is that the T-shirts only exist because it appears Enes did not play for free.
