- Must read of the day: Gary Parrish on why Anthony Davis will never sue. Great stuff. Along those same lines, NC State AD Debbie Yow threatens legal action against any agents that come around her players.
- Matt Norlander of College Hoops Journal took a look at the APR, crunched some numbers, and wrote about it. Check it out. Matt also put together a post talking with Creighton's Gregg McDermott for FOXSports.
- So the Knicks hiring of Isiah Thomas could be against the NBA's rules... That said, he was against Prop 8 in California. So Isiah's not all bad.
- The D1 Sports team won the NC ProAm, which may very well be the best summer league in the country. The D1 Sports team was led by Andre Dawkins and Ryan Kelly of Duke, also including former NC State and current Atlanta Hawk forward Josh Powell as well as former Tar Heel and current Knick Raymond Felton. Who won the MVP? Marcus Fisher, some guy that plays semi-pro ball. Umm, maybe someone wants to get him a contract...
- In addition to Dominique Sutton and Ray Willis, NC Central has added former UNC Greensboro point guard Landon Clement.
- NCAA teams are allowed to go on international trips once every four years. We did it my junior year, playing four games in Ireland. It was fantastic. Oregon was supposed to go to Italy this summer. But due to the injuries and the defections, Dana Altman may cancel the trip.
- Josh Pastner is probably right: expectations may be too high for Memphis this season.
- Indiana lands 2012 big man Peter Jurkin (which is an unfortunate name), while BC picked up a commitment from 2011 big man and former Arizona commit Kyle Caudill.
- A little bit of Draft Express to start your day.
