Monday Morning Dump

- Dean Smith and his family sent a letter out to former UNC players regarding the coach's health. He has a 'progressive neurocognitive disorder.'

- Luke Winn gives us an awesome take on the Kansas State-Xavier classic from the 2010 Sweet 16. If you like numbers and stats and charts, then this is a must-read.

- Georgia is looking pretty damn smart for their hiring of Mark Fox from Nevada to replace Dennis Felton. The Bulldogs, who have barely been competitive in the SEC of late, were a respectable club last season, knocking off Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Florida, and Illinois. With Trey Thompkins and Travis Leslie both returning, things seem to be headed in the right direction next season. Over the weekend, Georgia got more good news as 6'5" shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell, a top 15 recruit in the class of 2011 from Georgia, committed to the Bulldogs.

- Rivals profiles Joe Jackson, a Memphis native that will suit up for the Tigers. The best quote: "I'm still crushed over that because I wanted it to come back to Memphis, but with all the NCAA stuff [the vacating of the Final Four appearance], it would have never counted anyway."

- Seth Curry, Steph's little brother and a rising sophomore at Duke, sprained an ankle at the NC Pro-Am. Speaking of Duke, Kyrie Irving has apparently been lighting people up in the Pro-Am.

- Mike DeCourcy talks a little James McAdoo.

- 6'9" and a point guard? My guess is that Kyle Anderson is going to be a name that a lot of people know one day.

- Fantastic read on former NC State star Chris Washburn.

- Jeff Goodman caught up with Tom Izzo after the LeBron fiasco.

- Would you have ever guessed this -- West Virginia is doing great in the classroom under Bobby Huggins?

- Memphis has released their non-conference schedule. Not terrible. Dan Wolken, however, is not impressed by it.

- Former Indiana player pleads guilty in a fraud scheme.

- I never would have guessed that people cared this much about Wyoming basketball.

- Andy Katz caught up with Clemson's replacement for Oliver Purnell, Brad Brownell.
