Duke's Nolan Smith suspended two games

Duke's already thin back court suffered a minor blow on Tuesday as Nolan Smith told reporters after an exhibition game against Findlay that he would be missing the season's first two games.

Over the summer, Smith played in a non-sanctioned game near his home town of Washington DC.

"He shouldn't have done it," Krzyzewski told the Charlotte News & Observer after the game. "The guys know. And this is what every basketball player has to know, don't play in a game that has time and score, unless it's a sanctioned game."

Smith will miss the Nov. 13th contest against UNC-Greensboro and the Nov. 16th game against Coastal Carolina.

It was apparent during the scrimmage what the loss will mean to the Blue Devils. Smith sat the entire first half, which saw Duke take a 36-23 lead while committing ten turnovers. The Blue Devils pulled away in the second half, winning 84-48. Smith played 12 minutes in the second half.
