7:00 pm: No. 20 Syracuse @ No. 14 Villanova: The last time these two teams met up, Villanova torched the Syracuse defense, penetrating the zone, knocking down threes, and giving every future opponent a blueprint for how to beat the Orange. Since then, neither team has played all that well, as they both have both gone 4-4.
The key in this game will, once again, be the Syracuse zone and how well Villanova can attack it. The Orange have had their issues getting out to shooters over the past few weeks, but Corey Stokes has been battling turf toe and will be coming off the bench in his first action in three games. It will also be important for Villanova -- specifically Maalik Wayns and Corey Fisher -- to be able to attack the gaps in the zone without turning the ball over. Syracuse is not a great offensive team, but they are effective when they can get out in transition and beat the defense down the floor.
9:00 pm: Oklahoma State @ No. 2 Kansas: The question tonight -- how will the Jayhawks react to the suspension of Tyshawn Taylor? Who handles the ball? Who starts? Will the rotation change? Who steps up their scoring and playing making?
It better not take long for the Jayhawks to figure it out. Oklahoma State is a feisty team playing for their NCAA Tournament lives tonight.
