The Masked Dunker has a sidekick

Coastal Carolina's season has taken a serious turn for the worse.

They've now lost three starters, including two in the span of three days last week, which has put into serious question whether or not they will be able to even win the tournament of the conference they dominated for much of the season.

And thanks to UNC-Asheville's Matt Dickey, CCU's strangle hold on the regular season title may now be in jeopardy. With the game tied at 58 and 22 seconds left, Asheville missed a three, giving the ball the the Chanticleers with a chance to win the game by going the length of the floor in 2.4 seconds.

That's when Dickey, who we will now refer to as Kid BuzzerBeater, The Masked Dunker's buzzer beating sidekick, stole the show:

In all seriousness, Coastal Carolina's loss opens the door for Liberty. The Flames have lost two in a row and play their last two games on the road, but if they win out and CCU loses at Charleston Southern this weekend, the Big South title will be shared.

The Chanticleers swept the Flames, so obviously CCU still holds the tiebreaker.

But "the outright conference regular season champion" has such a better ring to it than "co-champion", doesn't it?
