Antonio Barton: The Memphis freshman guard had a scary moment in last night's win over Houston. He collapsed during a huddle and, according the Jason Smith of the Memphis Commercial-Appeal, "just kind of fell out in huddle". Apparently, Barton was fairly severely dehydrated. It appears that he will be just fine, but he was taken to the hospital after the game for precautionary measures. He played 31 minutes.
Alexis Wangmene: The Longhorn's junior forward did not suit up for the win over Iowa State last night. About 30 minutes prior to the game, Rick Barnes released this statement: "Alexis Wangmene has been suspended indefinitely due to a violation of team rules. He will not play in tonight's game against Iowa State."
No word yet on how long Wangmene will be sidelined. He's an important piece for Texas, as he is the first big guy off the bench behind Tristan Thompson and Gary Johnson. Wangmene was only averaging 2.4 ppg and 2.4 rpg, but now the only front court player on Barnes' bench is Matt Hill.
Pat Swilling: There have been all kinds of issue with the St. Joe's team this season. The latest? Swilling, a freshman guard from New Orleans, is no longer enrolled at the university. According to this blog post, he is back in his native New Orleans and is looking to transfer to either Central Florida or Louisiana Tech. Junior center Todd O'Brien has missed the last two games for disciplinary reasons.
