Wednesday Morning Dump

- Diamond Leung talked with Hampton's Darrion Pellum about the long and frustrating journey that led him from Virginia Tech to Hampton. Pellum, the MEAC's second-leading scorer with 18.3ppg left Virginia Tech after his SAT scores came under scrutiny.

- Luke Winn gives us his mid-season style report (Which means the BIAH All-Hair-team awards can't be too far off)

- Many parts of of the East Coast unfamiliar with snow (see: the South) are dealing with the winter effects of global warming. Eric Angevine explains how Georgia is preparing for their snowy road trip to Vanderbilt. RTC updated the situation

- As long as Tennessee can avoid it, Bruce Pearl ain't goin' nowheres.

- Angevine also details the decision by Northwestern to sign coach Bill Carmody to a contract extension

- Louisville's Jared Swopshire is definitely done for the year.

- There are few things in this world that I despise more than Rush the Court's John Stevens, but his posts on injuries are just superb. Here's Kyrie Irving's. Now back to our regularly scheduled hating of JStev.

- Andy Katz tries his best to pick a favorite in the SEC East but comes up short

- Remember this? Well, its happening

- Doug Gottlieb ranks the teams in the Big-10

- I feel like we haven't heard from Mike DeCourcy in a while, but maybe that's my RSS Readers fault. Here is his latest "3-Pointers" column

- Dave Telep briefs us on how to handle risky recruits (insiders only)

- John Gasaway examines the 14 best conferences and details how each team is doing against their league opponents on a per-possession basis

- If you were a coach, would you feel bad for Bruce Pearl? Well, Billy Donovan does

- Me too, Ron Ron. Me too.

- Dick Vitale ripped the NCAA yesterday during an appearance on Mike & Mike in the Morning. Eric Crawford of the Courier-Journal does not agree with Dickie-V

- A list like this is definitely going to come under some heavy fire: The best and worst announcers in college basketball

- When Creighton hired Greg McDermott to be their next head coach, it was considered "a good get". I don't think anybody considered how good a package-deal he really was

- Chicago State hasn't beaten a D-I opponent since November 26th, and the teams best player, Christian Wall is basically nowhere to be found

- Cincinnati's Cashmere Wright is fighting through all sorts of injuries in order to perform for a team looking to make a name for itself

- In case you missed the video I posted in the dump yesterday, Terry Hutchens of the Indianapolis Star breaks town the intentional foul committed by Indiana's Derek Elston

- A look at Georgia and their worst losses (Wait, wait wait. The Bulldogs don't have any bad losses)

- Rutgers got smacked by Uconn last night, but regardless, freshman center Austin Johnson is starting to find is place in Mike Rice's lineup

- We've mentioned it before, but it bears repeating: Georgetown is in struggle-city. Big East preseason PoY Austin Freeman has just 17-points in his last two games and if the Hoyas arent careful they could find themselves stuck in the 8-to-12-range in the Big East

- Lost Letterman is doing a pretty interesting series on Oak Hill Acadamy. First they briefed us on the history, and in part two, they discuss the rise in popularity of their basketball program

- Rush the Court provides their power rankings of the BCS-conferences. RTC has also decided to make my life 50% easier. Just click here for all the conference check-ins. RTC also tells us what they loved and hated from this past weekend in college hoops

- DeAndre Daniels just won't make up his mind

- A concise list of the 30 best high school teams in the country
