Four noteworthy transfers

Elgin Bailey, better known as the guy that wasn't as good as Renardo Sidney, will be taking his talents to SE Louisiana University. Bailey was a junior, meaning that he will be eligible to play for all of one semester with the Lions. The New Orleans native was averaging 5.8 ppg and 4.3 rpg prior to the fight that eventually ended with him leaving Mississippi State.

Bailey wasn't the only Mississippi state cast-off to land on his feet. Twany Beckham, a 6'5" guard that started five games this season and was averaging 2.9 ppg and 2.1 rpg, has decided to enroll at Kentucky. He'll walk on to the team and will be eligible for competition after the fall semester next season. A sophomore, Beckham will essentially have a year and a half of eligibility.

Then there is Darnell Dodson. The designated shooter for last year's Kentucky team that never found is stroke is rumored to be on his way to Southern Mississippi. USM will be his fourth college. He signed with Pitt as a top-100 recruit back in 2007, but failed to get academically eligible there. He redshirted the 2007-2008 season at Miami-Dade College before spending the 2009-2010 season with Kentucky. John Calipari sent Dodson packing over the summer as a result of some off the court issues.

And last but not least, there is USC freshman Bryce Jones who has decided to transfer, citing playing time issues. He was starting and averaging 12.8 ppg through eight games, but after Jio Fontan became eligible in December, Jones saw his minutes slip. He went scoreless four times in the past eight games.
