Jimmy V. Classic: We've already written about both games.
No. 4 Kansas 81, No. 14 Memphis 68: See here.
No. 7 Syracuse 72, No. 8 Michigan State 58: See here.
Georgia 73, Georgia Tech 72: The Bulldogs have not looked that impressive this season, but after knocking off the Yellow Jackets on the road, UGA is sitting pretty at 7-2 despite playing the first two months of the season with Trey Thompkins working his way back from an ankle injury. The big man had 21 points and 6 boards to help lead the Dawgs back from a 10 point deficit, but the hero was Dustin Ware. Georgia's point guard scored 21 points, hitting 7-9 from three. A majority of those threes came at significant moments in the game, but none were bigger than the three he hit off of a kickout from Gerald Robinson with 15.3 seconds left. Five of Georgia's six wins have come by a single possession. They may not be impressive, but this team will know how to win close games come SEC play.
No. 18 Purdue 76, Valpo 58: Perhaps the best news for Purdue coming out of this game? They won despite JaJuan Johnson struggling. Their center had just 13 points and six turnovers, but E'Twaun Moore went for 23, Lewis Jackson and Kelsey Barlow both reached double figures, and the Boilermakers scored 46 second half points. For a team struggling offensively, signs of life are a good thing.
West Virginia 82, Robert Morris 49: The Mountaineers were sputtering. It was early in the second half, Bobby Mo had just cut their lead to 32-31, and on the ensuing in bounds there was no one back to receive the in bounds pass. Time out. Line change. Bob Huggins brought in a whole new five, and led by a career high 14 points from Deniz Kilicli, the Mountaineers rolled to a big win.
St. Bonaventure 67, St. John's 66: Andrew Nicholson had 19 points, 13 boards, and for the second straight game hit the game winner as the Bonnies went into Carnesecca Arena and beat the Johnnies.
Marquette 86, Texas A&M-CC 50: The big news from this game is that Joseph Fulce, a big man for the Golden Eagles who has been battling knee problems, went down in a heap and had to be helped off the floor. The injury looked quite serious, and the microphone that gets put in the rim caught him screaming in pain.
Old Dominion 81, East Carolina 68: Coming off of a loss to Delaware, the Monarchs found themselves down by 10 in the first half before rallying to be the Pirates with a late 17-5 run.
Dayton 63, CCSU 61: What's going on with the Flyers? They've lose to East Tennessee State and Cincinnati (by 34), and now hold two point wins over CCSU and Savannah State?
