No. 22 Washington 94, Portland 72: Quick -- who is the only Washington Husky to have scored in double figures in every game this season? Answer -- Justin Holiday. The lanky, 6'6" role player has become quite a weapon for Lorenzo Romar, and he was again on Monday night, finishing with 20 points to lead the way for the Huskies. Isaiah Thomas also had 20 points, and it was back-to-back threes from Scott Suggs after Portland cut a lead from 16 to 6 that helped U-Dub pull away.
No. 5 Kansas State 89, Alcorn State 55: Free throws issues once again are rearing their ugly head for K-State. The Wildcats shot 23-40 from the charity stripe in the win, and believe it or not that improved their shooting on the season -- K-State is the second worse free throw shooting team in the country at 54%.
Providence 91, Brown 64: Don't look now, but the Friars are 9-1 on the season and off to their best start since 1988. In last night's win against Brown, Vincent Council tied the PC record for assists (16) and Marshon Brooks added 33 points.

I like Keno Davis, so good to see the Friars do well... hopefully they can play a little defense in conference play this year. I'm not entirely optimistic they'll actually be improved, but maybe...
A win is a win for that team at this point. Have to start somewhere when you are building a program. Like Council, Brooks, and Dixon.
