No. 10 Missouri 75, No. 21 Illinois 64: All Missouri does is play exciting games. I guess that is what happens when you play the most exciting style of basketball in the country. Illinois got up 10 points midway through the first half, but Missouri stormed back, using a 17-2 to take a 35-29 lead early in the second half. Illinois swung right back with a 12-2 run, which set up a stretch run that saw both teams exchange big shots and make big plays, perfect for the Braggin' Rights game. Missouri had opened a four point lead late when Mike Davis ripped Mike Dixon in the back court, setting up a DJ Richardson three with 44 seconds left to cut the lead to one. But Mizzou responded by inbounding the ball and attacking, getting Laurence Bowers open for a layup and an intentional foul. Six point Missouri possession. Game Over.
Washington State 83, Mississippi State 57: I think we need to start putting Klay Thompson into the Pac-10 player of the year race with Derrick Williams and Isaiah Thomas. He had 28 as Wazzu outscored the Renardo Sidney-less Bulldogs 44-17 in the second half. Thompson scored 11 after the break but they sparked the game-deciding run.
Gonzaga 64, Xavier 54: Could it be possible that the Zags are better off without Steven Gray? With their star guard on the bench with back spasms, Gonzaga pounded the ball inside to Elias Harris and Robert Sacre. The two combined for 35 points, 15 boards, and 19-20 fro the frret
UCF 64, UMass 59: Marcus Jordan wasn't going to play against the Minutemen due to sore ankles, but with 15 minutes left in the game Jordan changed his mind, checking in and helping the Golden Knights remain undefeated down the stretch, hitting five straight free throws. Gutty performance, no doubt.
Dayton 69, Seton Hall 65: Remember this date, Flyer fans. After struggling mightily to open the season and managing to get down 40-26 at the half, no one would have blamed the Flyers if they had just rolled over. But they didn't. Sparked by nine second half points from Matt Kavanaugh, Dayton used a 22-6 run to open the second half and take the lead.
Charlotte 57, Wright State 53: After beating Tennessee on Friday, Charlotte bounced back and rallied late to beat the Shockers. The 49ers got a huge three late in the game from Derrio Green that was the difference maker. Maybe getting rid of Shamari Spears really was addition by subtraction.
Other Notable Scores
No. 3 Kansas 78, Cal 63: This turned into quite the scrappy affair, as there were a number of dust-ups, technical fouls, and a Marcus Morris ejection for a flagrant elbow. But in the end, 21 points from Markieff Morris and 18 from Josh Selby -- which included 13 first half points and five consecutive makes to start the game -- were too much for Cal to handle.
No. 4 UConn 81, Harvard 52: Kemba only had 20, but the Huskies routed a Harvard team that shot 4-31 from three.
No. 5 Syracuse 93, Drexel 65: Kris Joseph had a career-high 25 points in the Orange's 28 point win.
No. 6 Pitt 61, American 46: The Panthers had some issues putting American away late in the game, but hung on for the win.
No. 7 SDSU 56, IUPUI 54: The Aztecs struggled again, but a 11-0 run early in the second half broke a 34-all tie. SDSU would have to hold on late as IUPUI made a run.
No. 8 Villanova 76, Monmouth 36: I know its only Monmouth, but Corey Fisher was 8-10 from the floor. Boy, did he need a performance like that.
No. 14 Kentucky 89, Winthrop 52: Doron Lamb had 32 points on 11-12 shooting (7-8 from three) to set the UK freshman scoring record.
No. 15 Baylor 83, San Diego 50: And it probably wasn't even that close.
No. 19 Florida 66, Radford 55: Erving Walker got hot, hitting 5-7 from deep, but Kenny Boynton did not, finishing 3-9 from the floor.
No. 20 Notre Dame 93, UMBC 53: Abromaitis. Double double. 21 and 11 boards.
No. 25 Louisville 114, Western Kentucky 82: Peyton Siva led the way with 29 points and 8 assists.

Wright State are known as the Raiders, not the Shockers. The Shockers play in Kansas.
