Thursday's Pregame Beat

Ed. Note: Got held up today. The Pregame Beat will be short and sweet, so its a good thing that the docket is limited tonight. Enjoy LeBron's homecoming.

7:00 pm: Arizona State @ No. 10 Baylor: (ESPN 2) The Sun Devils don't have much of an interior presence, which will be a problem against a team with the size that Baylor has. That said, ASU is loaded with good shooters and Baylor plays a zone. It will be an interesting game to watch, and for most of us our first chance at seeing the Bears with LaceDarius Dunn in the lineup.

9:00 pm: UCLA @ No. 4 Kansas: (ESPN 2) The Jayhawks are still without Josh Selby, but they looked pretty good against an underrated Arizona team. Tyshawn Taylor seems to have taken to playing the role of the point guard. The best one-on-one matchup of the evening will be between Reeves Nelson and whichever Morris twin ends up guarding him.

11:00 pm: No. 8 Missouri @ Oregon: The Ducks had their share of struggles in the offseason, but the most embarrassing was probably their coaching search. One of the guys they went after? Mike Anderson, Missouri's head coach.
