Today's the day we have all been waiting for. For the first time since Gordon Hayward's prayer came inches from being answered, there will be meaningful college hoops played tonight. Excited? I am.
- There guys are too: Jeff Eisenberg with 68 predictions for the upcoming season, Rush the Court breaks down ESPN's Full Court schedule, and Matt Norlander gives us a look at ESPN's broadcaster schedule.
- And make sure you check out college basketball confidential. Definitely worth the read.
- DePaul lost their exhibition game against D-II Lewis last night. And Xavier lost to Bellarmine. Ugh.
- Dayton's locker room had some stuff stolen from it this weekend.
- Isaiah Thomas got into a twitter spat with Jeff Goodman over the weekend. I don't blame him, either. Are people really not putting Thomas on the preseason first team all Pac-10?
- A little preseason bracketology anyone?
- Andy Glocker breaks down the best of the rest. Good list here. Also, make sure to check out Luke Winn's postcard from Temple and Andy Katz's break down of Minnesota.
- A couple recruiting notes -- Tyler Harris picked NC State, while Dai-Jon Parker is headed to Vanderbilt. And I haven't heard anything else about this, but apparently Cedrick McAfee has some recruiting issues?
- Tom Izzo had his contract extended.
- Oregon's new court is pretty ridiculous. I love it.
- Our first buzzer beater of the new year:

Go Bellarmine! The Knights have always had talent, but are a program on a big-time rise. As is, they are a de facto D-I team and could compete in the low-to-mid D-I conferences. I look forward to BU joining the OVC, Horizon League or some such when the NCAA's window for moving up opens next year.
