TMZ Report says the NCAA is investigating four Kentucky Wildcats

For the second time this summer, the Kentucky basketball program is making headlines for potential violations.

Back in May, it was Pete Thamel of the New York Times outing Eric Bledsoe for a spike in his grades during his senior year in high school, although nothing has come of it as of yet. There wasn't enough dirt to dig up.

TMZ may have done him one better, however.

The gossip website that has recently delved into the sports world (and college hoops; they were the ones that broke the story on Tiny Gallon getting $3,000 from a financial adviser) currently has an article up on their website claiming that the NCAA is investigating at least four Wildcats players -- two current, two who just got drafted -- and their possible involvement with agents.

In the case of one former Wildcat, we're told the NCAA wants to know about his relationship with his current agent. We're told the investigator asked about multiple meetings the agent allegedly had with the player ... dating back to the player's senior year in high school. The insinuation is the agent had an arrangement with the player before he went to Kentucky.

Could this be another black eye for a John Calipari-coached program? If all that happened was that a player had decided on who his agent would be before he went to college, is that really all that big of a deal? I wonder if this has anything to do with John Wall's relationship with Dwon and Brian Clifton?

Who knows. Until names are named and until the NCA actually speaks on the matter, I am going to be taking every report like this with a grain of salt.

While it is probably deserved, I think it is safe to say the Coach Cal witch hunt is officially on.
