UPDATE: Matt Howard cleared for shootaround

Matt Howard has been cleared to participate in Butler's pregame shootaround this afternoon, but there is no word yet on his status for tonight's game.

According to Butler's team spokesman, the doctors want to make sure Howard as no lingering effects from his concussion before they say he will be available tonight. Howard didn't practice yesterday.

I think it goes without saying that not having Howard will be bad for Butler. As much as he has struggled this season, he is still their best low post scorer and the best big man they have on the roster. Butler is going to need as much size as possible tonight against the bigger Blue Devils.

That said, anyone that thinks that Howard won't be in uniform tonight is crazy.

UPDATE: Howard has been cleared to play tonight, and is currently listed as probable. Told you.
