Le Moyne is now playing the waiting game

Le Moyne, better known as "that DII school that beat Syracuse", kicked off conference tournament play last night.

It did not exactly go swimmingly for the Dolphins. (Ed. Note: That was terrible. Apologies.)

Le Moyne lost to St. Anselm in the 4-5 game of the Northeast-10 conference tournament 74-67, putting the Dolphins on a very large bubble to reach the DII NCAA Tournament. Selection Sunday is March 7th, and the Dolphins hope their fate is different this year than it was last season.

"This is what it is now," Le Moyne head coach Steve Evans said. "We've just got to sit back. We've got to do a little praying. If we don't (get in), we're in the same place we were last year – on the outside looking in."

If they do get left out, that would be kind of ridiculous, no?

I mean, Le Moyne has done something that only two other schools at any level has done this season - beat the current No. 1 team in the country. I know that there is so much more to a tournament resume than one win even at the DII level, but two weeks ago people were saying that beating Syracuse in the Dome saved Louisville's season.

It can't save Le Moyne's?
