Tuesday's Pregame Beat

7:00 pm: Texas A&M @ Kansas State: After losing at Missouri on Saturday, the Wildcats face a much different Texas A&M team tonight. The Aggies have won three straight games since Derrick Roland went down with a broken leg, but one thing to remember in this one - this season, Big XII teams are 112-1 at home, and 6-0 at home in league play.

7:00 pm: Ohio State @ Purdue: Purdue hosts the Buckeyes, who are now 1-1 since the return of Evan Turner. With him in the line-up, Ohio State is a top 25 team. But at just 1-3 in the Big Ten as they head into Mackey Arena, the Buckeyes have their work cut out for them if they want to make a trip to the Big Dance.

7:00 pm: NC State @ Florida State: Florida State could use a nice bounce-back win after a loss at Maryland on Sunday. NC State, once again, looks like they are the worst team in the ACC. If the Noles want to be an NCAA Tournament team, you don't lose games to the worst team in your league at home.

8:00 pm: Maryland @ Wake Forest: Perhaps the most underrated game of the day. Wake Forest is coming off of a last second loss the Miami, while Maryland started out league play with a nice win at home against FSU. After Duke, the 2-7 spots in the ACC are a crap shoot. Wake Forest is going to have a huge size advantage against the Terps, but the Seminoles did as well, and Maryland was able to win.

9:00 pm: Baylor @ Colorado: The Bears are 13-1 on the season, and have finally moved into the rankings, but the have yet to pick up many impressive wins. While Colorado is far from a tournament team this season, there has only been one home loss this season by a Big XII team.

9:00 pm: Kentucky @ Florida: Florida got 50 combined points from Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton, but gave up 95 as a team in a loss to Vanderbilt. If the Gators couldn't handle Vandy's size inside and lost when their two best players both had big games, what is going to happen against a Kentucky team with better bigs and better perimeter defenders? Granted, this one is at home, and Florida tends to be tough at home, but I'm not sure the Gators are going to be able to handle Cousins and Patterson and company in the paint.
