7:00 pm: Minnesota @ Purdue: On paper, Minnesota has a team that can compete with the Boilermakers. Minnesota has athletes, they play good defense, they like to push the ball in transition, and they have a go-to scorer in Russell Westbrook. But with Ralph Sampson likely out tonight, and Royce White and Trevor Mbakwe still ineligible, the Gophers have lost most of their size advantage on Purdue. Minnesota is going to need to continue to push the ball and score points in transition, because they will have a lot of trouble scoring on Purdue's half court defense.
7:00 pm: Texas @ Arkansas: Arkansas beat Texas last season in one of the year's most exciting finishes. Since that game, the Razorbacks program has collapsed as a result of a number of suspensions. One of those suspended players - Courtney Fortson - will be returning to action tonight, but it may not be enough. Arkansas is just 7-7 on the season, and Texas is, well, Texas. But with Michael Washington back from back problems and joining Rotnei Clarke, Stefan Welsh, and Marshon Powell, the addition of Courtney Fortson gives Arkansas a solid starting five.
7:00 pm: Georgia Tech @ Georgia: Great rivalry, but with the Bulldogs struggles of late, the game has not been quite as interesting. That said, Georgia has a couple of decent wins this season, and Trey Thompkins is a talented big man that will be able to compete Gani Lawal and Derrick Favors.
10:30 pm: New Mexico @ San Diego State: New Mexico State has been great this season, and looks to be the early favorite in a very good MWC that has the potential to get four teams into the dance. San Diego State, at 11-3, is one of those four. At this point in the season, the Lobos can afford the loss much more than SDSU can afford to lose this game at home.
