Arizona State 68, Washington 51: Is it safe to write off the Huskies now? The Sun Devils controlled the pace of this game and dominated UW on the defensive end, handing Washington their second straight loss in league play. Rihard Kuksiks had 27 points, hitting 5-8 threes, leading the Sun Devils. Its official - no one knows what is going on in the Pac-10.
Butler 77, Wright State 65: Shelvin Mack scored 21 points and Gordon Hayward added 20 points to lead the Bulldogs. Butler blew this game open midway through the first half with an 11-1 run, taking a double digit lead and staying in control throughout the rest of the game. Matt Howard finished with just 10 points and 4 boards, but he played 31 minutes and only committed two fouls.
Washington State 78, Arizona 76: The one good thing about the Pac-10 is that there have been an number of very exciting games. Wazzu led this one 74-67 with just over two minutes left, but the Wildcats scrapped their way back, tying the game on a Solomon Hill tip-in with 13 seconds left. At the other end, DeAngelo Casto finished a layup with 0.1 seconds left for the win. Reggie Moore had 20 points in the win.
Cornell 71, South Dakota 65: Louis Dale scored 19 points and Ryan Wittman added 18 points as the Big Red never trailed in the second half.
St. Mary's 83, San Francisco 62: Mickey McConnel scored 18 points and Omar Samhan added 17 and 11 boards as the Gaels rolled in their WCC opener.
