10 days ago, on the first Sunday after the earthquake that hit Haiti, Kentucky held a fundraiser called Hoops for Haiti that raised $1.3 million to help aid Haitian recovery efforts.
We lauded them for it after it happened.
On Tuesday afternoon, President Obama did as well. Have a look:
First reaction?
I think that's the first time I've ever seen Calipari look in anyway nervous.
Second reaction?
(Insert corny, played out Obama-jinx joke here).
Third reaction?
LOVED DeMarcus Cousins telling Obama that he was looking forward to meeting him at the White House (although, I wonder how Kentuckians will take that).
In all seriousness, it was great what the Wildcats were able to accomplish, and even better that they are being rewarded for it. $1.3 million is a lot of money.
