After Colorado and Kansas State both defended their home court last night, the Big XII, as a conference, is a staggering 114-1 at home on the season. The next closest conference is the ACC, whose teams are a meager 97-12 at home.
(*Bonus points for anyone that can name the one home loss.)
The stats get more impressive from there.
Eight teams have home winning streaks of at least 11 games. Missouri and Kansas have the two longest, at 30 and 51 games, respectively. In comparison, seven Big East teams have lost more than one home game. 60% of the Pac-10 has lost more than one home game.
So my question is, when will the next home loss come?
Well, tonight actually.
Texas plays at Iowa State, Kansas plays at Nebraska, and Missouri plays at Texas Tech. I wouldn't be surprised if all three road team wons, tripling the number of home losses in the Big XII in one night.
(*The answer? Iowa State lost 63-60 at home to Northern Iowa on December 2nd.)
