Andy Katz landed an exclusive interview with Rick Pitino at the Big East media day. Here is the portion of the interview that was aired on Sportscenter.
Pitino doesn't really say anything new or interesting regarding the extortion case against Karen Sypher, harping on the fact that he is just a witness in a US attorneys case.
What was interesting to me were Pitino's comments on the lack of a suspension for Jerry Smith and Terrence Jennings.
I've busted their tails pretty stron. Suspensions, compared to what we do to the players, that's an easy way out. They would love to be suspended for a game or two compared to what I've done to them.I believe it.
