Monday Morning Dump

- There was a lot of terrific stuff written about 9/11 yesterday. I think this was my favorite.

- And if you want you read something non-9/11 related, check out Sam Mellinger's column on Dick Vitale.

- There are quite a few freshmen that may not be eligible to play this season. Some pretty big names on this list.

- Speaking of freshmen, Oklahoma State got commitments from Marcus Smart and Phil Forte. Then Houston landed two top 100 recruits in Danuel House and Chicken Knowles. Finally, Louisville landed a sleeper in point guard recruit Terry Rozier.

- Jeff Jacobs of the Hartford Courant wanted to get some answers from NCAA President Mark Emmert. The prez didn't really oblidge (Great-read)

- Archie Goodwin doesn't want to go to Baylor. Because their colors are green and gold. And they are an Adidas school.

- North Texas landed Grambling transfer Justin Patton.

- Jeff Eisenberg had an interesting interview with Kwamain Mitchell of St. Louis.

- Five for the Weekend is always pleasant.

- The last name on this list is gold.

- UConn will be playing in the aircraft game in 2012-2013. So can we just go ahead and skip the "is Jim Calhoun returning for the 2012-2013 season" song and dance?

- Jason King takes a look at the preseason tournaments.
