The official start to the 2012-2013 NCAA basketball season doesn't begin until next week, but with exhibition games tiping off this week, the official start to the #POSTERIZED season is here.

Missouri's Keion Bell got things started on Monday. Never to be out done by Missouri, Kansas representative Ben McLemore dropped the hammer towards the end of the Jayhawks 88-54 exhibition win over Emporia State. Look up the term "Dropping the hammer" in the dictionary and you will find the following video embedded in the text:

What a way to start the season. From now until the final net is cut down in Atlanta, the #POSTERIZED series will be your must-follow guide to the best collegiate dunks, jams, slams, high-flyers, rim-rockers and gym-jammers.

#POSTERIZED: Keion Bell rings in the new season

Keion Bell is one of Missouri's 67 incoming transfers expected (by me) to help lead the Tigers back into the nation's top five this season.

Bell comes from Pepperdine, where he was known for two things: a prolific ability to score and the fact that he could jump really, really, really high. He showcased both of those skills last night as Missouri knocked off Northwest Missouri 91-68, scoring 20 points on 8-12 shooting and doing this:

That's impressive, although it's nothing but an appetizer; I expect much, much better out of Bell on at least three occasions this season. Continue reading...
