Not a lot of games on the docket tonight, so the Pregame Beat will be short and sweet.
9:00 pm: No. 10 Georgetown @ Temple: Georgetown, backed by the arguably the best back court in the country, has the fifth best offense in the country according to Kenpom. (Do I even need to link Kenpom at this point? Because if you read this site, there is no doubt in my mind you check out Kenpom's site. Blogger courtesy, but I'm just wondering. Leave a comment if you have never heard of Kenpom until this post.) But Temple has the seventh best defense in the country. This one should be a dandy. Georgetown is playing as well as anyone in the country and is No. 1 in the RPI, but Temple looks like they have finally figured it out after a tough trip to the Old Spice Classic.
9:00 pm: Butler @ Xavier: This game has lost a bit of its gusto as both the Bulldogs and the Musketeers have been underwhelming this season. But who remembers this game from last season:
Both teams need this win, and with that as the setting for this one, it should also be a dandy. If you do tune in, you will also be treated to two of the most underrated guards in the country in Shelvin Mack and Tu Holloway.

Huge win for Temple obviously... they had lacked a marquee win on their resume, and this is certainly not.
Butler, though, is in trouble... at Siena is a nice win, but that is their best win... take away the name and does anyone think they have any chance of becoming an at-large team? I doubt it. They'll be feeling some extra pressure in the Horizon this season.
