- There is no better way to start of a Friday then by reading Luke Winn's power rankings. Your mind well be blown before you find out who is No. 2 in the country.
- Seth Davis mailbag is always a good column as well, and I'm a fan of Mike DeCourcey's work. If you don't read those two on the regular, well, actually you probably already do.
- 11 of a possible 30 games is a pretty good sample size to make evaluations and judgements. I think it's safe to say that molding this young Kentucky team will be John Calipari's toughest test yet.
- Rick Bozich reports that Kentucky's Terrence Jones is garnering a lot of NBA interest. The athletic freshman forward has become the stand-out player for the Wildcats and has received a lot of publicity for his on-the-court and off-the-court performances
- What is happening to Pat Knight and Texas Tech? the Red Raiders are playing lackdaisical basketball and have been upset three times already this season. Before the season began, Knight noted that 2010-11 would be a “get-an-extension or a get-fired kind of year.” Right now, it doesn't look like he's on the track towards and extension
- A preliminary scouting report on one half of Kansas' twin towers duo, Marcus Morris
- Here is some terrific insight from Kyle Whelliston on the Missouri Valley and why its down a bit this season.
- In what could be described as being "very un-Oregon-like" the Ducks are going to be wearing boring throwback jerseys for Saturday's game against D-III Willamette College
- Jay Bilas chimes in on a couple different college hoops topics. He can get away with this because he's Jay Bilas.
- When a shooter falls into a slump, one of the ways to get out of it is to find other ways to score and other ways to be productive. That's exactly what Charlotte's Derrio Green is doing. His FG% is down six-points from last season and his points-per-game average has dropped as well. To be more productive, Green has started to drive to the basket more often, and in result, getting to the foul line more frequently
- Marquette will consider trying to get a NCAA hardship waiver for the oft-injured Joe Fulce
- An interesting column idea from College Basketball Talk: They take a walk with Ben Howland
- William & Mary has one of the worst turnover rates in all of college basketball. They need to distribute the ball evenly in order to limit turnovers. Quinn McDowell has carried the load for the Tribe, but his teammates need to help him out. The team's 27.4% turnover rate is the third-worst in the country
Usually, an unranked team beating the No. 10 team at home warrants a court storming. But not when you are Temple, and one of the more prestigious basketball programs in the country. Cue the unnecessary wave of court storming ethics columns. And Rick Reilly, shut your effing face.
