Friday Morning Dump

- As she is wont to do, Dana O'Neil put together an awesome piece on Seton Hall's Herb Pope. Pope is an interesting case. Knowing his reputation in high school, and seeing the double nut shot he threw at a Texas Tech player at the end of last season, its tough to think of Pope as more than a thug. That said, Pope has had a difficult life, and O'Neil portrays him as misunderstood. Read her piece, and you'll have a tough time rooting against the Pirate big man.

- If you haven't been following the breakdowns Draft Express has been doing of the top NBA prospects in each conference, now is the time to catch up. Here are the Big East's top five pro prospects.

- Its Insider, I know, and I apologize, but anything by Jay Bilas is a must-read. Here are his conference breakdowns.

- Luke Winn breaks down his thought process when it comes to making a Naismith Award List.

- Good read from Jeff Goodman on Brian Gregory of Dayton.

- So much for Kim English being our favorite twitter follow.

- Bruce Pearl spoke to a radio station in Atlanta and said that not only does he have no good reason for lying, but that he does not believe he should be fired.

- The last we had heard from Sean Sutton, he had plead guilty back in August to felony drug charges stemming from his addiction to prescription pain meds. Yesterday, his brother and Oral Roberts head coach Scott Sutton announced that he would be bringing in Sean in an advisory, volunteer role. Hopefully, he can stay out of trouble.

- St. Peter's star Wesley Jenkins partially tore his acl. Its a big blow, as St. Peter's, a team expected to compete for the MAAC title, loses a 14 ppg scorer.
