Calipari signs Bledsoe

Coach Cal has landed the fifth member of what is probably the best recruiting class in the nation (currently 4th on Rivals).

Eric Bledsoe, a six-foot point guard rated 23rd by Rivals and 37th by Scout, announced his intentions to go to school in Lexington. Bledsoe picked UK over Memphis.

Bledsoe joins DeMarcus Cousins, Darnell Dodson, Daniel Orton, and Jon Hood as Cal's first freshman class. This crop is good enough that the Wildcats should be able to compete in a weak SEC even if Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson stay in the draft.

The question now becomes where will John Wall end up. Wall, the #1 recruit in the country who also plays the point, has been rumored to be headed to UK. With Bledsoe signing, does that change his plans? Or does Cal know something we don't?
