Thursday Lay-up Lines

Nothing terribly intriguing is on tonight:

  • 7:00 PM: Wright State (8-7, 2-2) @ Butler (12-1, 3-0)
  • 7:05 PM: Minnesota (13-1, 1-1) @ Iowa (11-4, 1-1)
  • 8:00 PM: St. Louis (9-5) @ Xavier (11-2)
There are four Pac-10 games being played tonight, which always end up being pretty entertaining games. They get shown randomly on some of the Fox Sports channels through out the night, so if you get home from happy hour at 10, you might as well turn one on. I think I have finally figured out the Pac 10 schedule. There are five travel "partners" (UCLA and USC will go play at Arizona and Arizona State respectively on a Thursday, then switch for the Saturday game), so the group that gets left out plays their game during the weekend at some point.
  • 8:30 PM: Oregon (6-6, 1-1) @ Arizona (9-5, 0-2): Arizona needs a win as bad as anyone in the country right now.
  • 10:00 PM: Cal (13-2, 2-0) @ Washington State (8-5, 0-1): How will Cal shoot on the road against an excellent defensive team?
  • 10:30 PM: Oregon State (6-6, 1-1) @ Arizona State (12-2, 1-1): The Beavers just beat USC for their first Pac-10 win since Feb. 2007.
  • 10:30 PM: Stanford (11-1, 1-1) @ Washington (10-3, 1-0): A couple of surprises in the Pac-10 square off. Are either for real this year?
