Wednesday's Pregame Beat: Can UConn turn it around?

7:00 pm: UConn @ No. 14 Georgetown: What is going on with the Huskies this season? They cannot seem to figure out a way to utilize the talent that's on their roster. There are a number of theories as to what the specific issue is, but it doesn't help when you don't have an emotional leader on your roster and your point guards are incapable of running an offense. Things that won't help UConn: Georgetown has been effective playing a zone this season.

6:30 pm: No. 20 Indiana @ No. 22 Michigan: The Hoosiers haven't been a very good road team, but this is a winnable game for them. Michigan doesn't have a hoss inside that will give Indiana's weak front line trouble, beyond Trey Burke the Wolverines are not an overwhelmingly talented one-on-one team and they don't provide the kind of defensive pressure that will give Jordy Hulls issue handling the ball. This may be Indiana's best chance to steal a win on the road.

10:30 pm: Colorado State @ No. 13 UNLV: The Rams are coming off of a 17 point home win over SDSU. Can they repeat the magic with a win over the Runnin' Rebels? To be fair, UNLV is a much more physical and athletic team. It will be interesting to see is CSU can handle the difference.

7:00 pm: Xavier @ George Washington: Perhaps the most intriguing story line in a compelling A-10 this season has been the downfall of the Musketeers. At one point in time, this was a top ten team. Was that a fallacy that was derived by a handful of clutch three pointers from Tu Holloway, or is this really a team that had their season blown to pieces by the brawl with Cincinnati?

The rest of the top 25:

9:00 pm: No. 6 Baylor @ Texas A&M: Will Dash Harris, Khris Middleton and Kourtney Roberson all be sitting out for A&M again?

9:00 pm: Oklahoma @ No. 8 Kansas: Steven Pledger had 30 in a win at Kansas State, but 30 points isn't an answer for a Thomas Robinson that is coming off of a loss.

8:05 pm: Illinois State @ No. 12 Creighton: The Bluejays are currently sitting all alone in first place in the MVC.

10:15 pm: Boise State @ No. 17 SDSU: Coming off of a loss to Colorado State, the Aztecs will be looking to reaffirm their standing as the favorite in the MWC.

7:00 pm: Georgia Tech @ No. 24 Florida State: The Seminoles have about as good of a front line as you are going to find in the ACC.
