Friday Morning Dump

- As expected, five-star big-man Mitch McGary is headed to Michigan

- Awesome-read from Dana O'Neil on the importance of the 3-point shot to mid-major schools

- Stat-nerds unite! KenPom's rankings have been released (KenPom is adding a semi pay-wall this season. Yeah it kinda sucks, but you should just sack up and pay the man. He's earned it. That's what I'll be doing)

- Mississippi State freshman Krister Zeidaks (he's from Latvia), has been declared ineligible by the NCAA for like 16 months. I'm not even sure the Earth will exist in 16 months. Here's hoping MSU fans starts up the #FreeKristers war-wagon

- You just hate to see news like this: Virginia Tech's J.T. Thompson tore his ACL for the second time in two seasons

- ESPN released their TV announcing lineup for the upcoming season. You may have noticed that NBA announcers Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Tirico will be getting in on the action. I wonder if this has anything to do with the lockout.....

- Construction is underway for the Carrier Classic court. Check out the T-shirts

During the 2011-2012 season, we will be working with FanDuel.com to provide you with single-day fantasy college basketball leagues. The leagues, which is completely free to enter, starts on Nov. 15th and features $200 in prizes. Even better, if you beat us (Username: Ballinisahabit), you'll win an extra $5. Winners will be paid out that evening. So see if you can use your college hoops knowledge to win some prize money. With the NBA locked out, try your hand at some college fantasy hoops action this season. Click here to enter. Seriously, there is no NBA season this year. Fill the fantasy basketball void with FanDuel's fantasy college hoops

- Jeff Borzello has never done anything in his life "under-the-radar". Everything he does is loud, bright and highly questionable. which is why I'm perplexed that he ranked the top-30 "under the Radar" players in the country

- Maybe more NBA stars should take cues from Andy Rautins (My inner-Hoya just died a bit for typing that)

- No joke, this is some of the deepest thinking I've ever seen in relation to the NCAA's governing body (I never thought I'd ever post to something that quotes Machiavelli. The real Machiavelli, not TuPac)

- Seth Davis primes us for a another crazy-hectic Big-East season

- This isn't new news, but it's a good-read: Hoops is an afterthought in the Big East

- It looks like NBCSports.com will let just about anybody write for them. First they publish some of my work (highly questionable), then they let Nic Fasulo back on after he was finished Searching For Billy Edelin

- Any tournament involving logos or mascots gets an automatic +100 from me

- Awesome, awesome stuff on the top sophomores in the ACC (It's more than just Harrison Barnes, Kendall Marshall and C.J. Leslie)

- Does Kentucky's best starting lineup not include Mike Gilchrist

- A college hoops story about a Broadway musical? Now that's totally in Matt Norlander's wheelhouse

- Just because the NCAA is going to allow a $2,000 stipend, Mark Emmert is adamant that it won't lead to "pay-for-play"

- Jay Bilas ranks the best 3-point assassins in the game, and the best marksmen of all-time

- Villanova won't be able to rely on veteran leadership like last season and is going to have to mature quickly in order to stay competative

- For members of low-major conferences like the MAAC, all non-conference tilts are key

- A preseason look at the eight teams already on the bubble in the Big East

- UCLA power forward Travis Wear sprained his hand yesterday and is out day-to-day

- Maryland is going to have to play a couple of walk-ons in the rotation this season

- A breakdown of the ACC teams competing in preseason tournaments

- A preseason team preview on the reigning A-East champions, Boston University

- It looks like Wyoming got some new uniforms

Simply put, this is one of the best videos I have ever seen
