Monday Morning Dump

- I strongly suggest you go back and read through everything Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish wrote about the first week of the July live recruiting period.

- Justin Young got the inside scoop on the top centers and point guards from the LeBron James Skills Academy

- Matt Norlander put together an interesting and informative podcast with John Infante of the ByLaw Blog.

- The US finished fifth in the U-19 World Championships after losing to Russia in the quarterfinals. There are a number of different opinions as to why -- Jeff Eisenberg, Justin Young, and Luke Winn all chimed in.

- Speaking of King James, three teams, Miami, tOSU and Kentucky will be wearing LBJ-branded Nike uniforms next season. The inside tag is priceless

- Great story about a Somali-refugee turned basketball star and valedictorian.

- RIP Neil Dougherty

- A twitter must-follow list for fans of the Maize & Blue (Team-specific blogs take note: this is a genius idea)

- Michael Gilchrist has changed his name to honor a family member that passed away

- It is likely that Texas-Arlington will join the WAC

- Justin Young takes a look at John Riek, the shrinking giant

- Former-Bradley head coach Jim Les, now the current head coach at UC-Riverside, is filing a lawsuit against his previous employers

- Did the addition of former-NC State guard Ryan Harrow, cause Kentucky to lose the main interest of a few top recruits in the class of 2012? Rodney Purvis certainly thinks so

- You've seen this video of Duke-bound Austin Rivers by now, but it deserves mention in this space. What makes it so impressive? Rivers isn't known for his athleticism. He's a pure-bred scorer, a shooter and slasher with in-the-gym range. And now he's throwing down two-handed reverse windmills? He'll be better than Kyrie Irving. And that's scary.
