Friday Morning Dump

- Look at Matt Norlander, finally pulling his weight on the CBS hoops team. Great stuff here on what coaches want to see changed with the July recruiting period.

- Austin Hatch is getting better, which is terrific news. If you don't know who I'm referring to, Hatch is this kid.

- This quote from Anthony Bennett was quite refreshing: "It's a college decision. It determines the rest of your life. I just want to take the time and think it through."

- Something got Justin Young all fired up. I'm starting to think its a good thing he got out of the recruiting biz. He's one ornery fellow.

- Jeff Goodman says that Renardo Sidney won't be the vital piece for Mississippi State next season, but that he will be the x-factor. I'm not sure I fully agree with that. I think Sidney will be the difference between the Bulldogs making the NCAA Tournament and being relegated to the NIT.

- Andy Katz approves of Mike Bobinski as the new chair of the NCAA Tournament committee.

- Great stuff from Basketball Prospectus on Jeremy Lamb. Be forewarned -- its behind a paywall.

- Arizona's Jordin Mayes had surgery.

- Iowa State reinstates Jordan Railey

- Jason King writes about the late-Neil Dougherty

- This is a terrible idea from Rick Pitino. How about the Big East just jettisons some of those programs at the bottom of the league?

- Click for the picture. Awesome.
