Wednesday Morning Dump

- Rumors swirled before the National Championship game that Jim Calhoun may retire if UConn won. Well, UConn did win, but it doesn't look like Calhoun is going anywhere. But Jeff Goodman believes, if there is ever a time for him to retire, it's right now. But if it was up to Calhoun's wife, he'd remain on the sidelines

- Jeff Eisenberg wonders if the 2011 National Championship game was the modern era's worst.

- Hey remember when everybody gave up on the Big East after it's dissapoint first weekend of tournament play. Well what does it say for the conference when the ninth-best team wins the National Championship

- Mike Miller claims UConn fans behaved themselves for the most part, while another report claims 27 fans were arrested last night in Storrs

- Where does this championship put Jim Calhoun amongst the all-time-greats?

- The search for NC-State's next head coach is finally over. Former-Alabama coach Mark Gottfried has agreed to take over the Wolfpack program. NC-State Athletic Director Debbie Yow claims Maryland head coach Gary Williams tried to sabotage the school's head coaching search

- Pat Knight, who recently stepped down as head coach at Texas Tech, will reportedly take the head coaching position at Lamar

- Pat Baldwin a seven-year assistant coach at Loyola (IL) has become the first assistant coach hired at Missouri State by new head coach Paul Lusk

- Could Georgetown Assistant coach Mike Brennan possibly take the head coaching position at Princeton? Sydney Johnson, the Tigers former head coach who recently left to take over at Fairfield, was also a former Georgetown assistant. Plus, the Hoyas current head coach, John Thompson III, was Princeton's head coach for four years

- Georgia's Trey Tompkins will hire an agent and enter the NBA draft. His teammate Travis Leslie will test draft waters

- Illinois' Jereme Richmond will declare for the NBA Draft

- Ryan Harrow of North Carolina State is looking to transfer and Kentucky is on his radar

- Iowa guard Cully Payne has asked for his release from the program and will look to transfer

- Upon Further Review believes there may be something wrong with our NCAA Tournament. Maybe there is, because the NCAA committee will ponder some changes to the Tournament format

- Jim Nantz did his best "Brett Mustberger...for all the Tostitos" at the National Championship game
