Thursday Morning Dump

- Eight of the ten people charged in the San Diego University bribery case have pleaded "not guilty". UC-Riverside, the opposing team in the "fixed game", was shocked to learn of the point-shaving

- On Monday it was mentioned that two Florida players were arrested for trying to rob a car outside of a bar in St. Augustine, FL. The police tapes of the two players confessing has been released

- UCLA head coach Ben Howland believes Malcolm Lee is making a mistake by entering the NBA draft. Speaking of Howland, Jeff Goodman is reporting that the head coach will hire Atlanta Celtics AAU head coach Korey McCray as a new assistant coach. NBA stars Dwight Howard, Josh Smith and Derrick Favors have been members of the Celtics AAU team, and McCray is known as a terrific recruiter

- Louisville loses another assistant coach. Mike Fuller will leave the Cardinals to join Frank Haith's staff at Missouri. Fuller becomes the second Louisville assistant to leave this off-season. Steve Massiello left a week ago to take the head coaching job at Manhattan

- Greg Cote of the Miami Herald thinks it was foolish for Miami to ignore Kansas State head coach Frank Martin as a potential candidate. Miami's new Athletic Director, Shawn Eichorst is aware that he has a lot of work to do. But as of now, Eichorst says there is no timetable for hiring a new head coach

- Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg won the Shots From The Heart contest

- Steve Eck, the current head coach at Hutchinson Community College chased after a burglar yesterday and apprehended the thief
